The driveway was the original 2014 interlock, never deep-cleaned, never re-sanded. Years of ground-in dirt, moss creeping into the joints, oil drips by the garage. The homeowner had two competing quotes that wanted to replace half the stones; we showed up to look first and confirmed everything could be saved with a proper clean.
What we did
The job took five hours with two people:
- Pre-treated oil spots with a degreaser, let it sit 15 minutes
- Surface-cleaner attachment for even pressure across the whole driveway, no stripe marks, no etched stone faces
- Hand-detailed the edges and the steps where the surface cleaner can't reach
- Pulled the moss out of the joints with a narrow nozzle
- Re-sanded the joints with polymeric sand to lock the stones and slow regrowth
- Sealed the perimeter against future water intrusion
The before/after slider above is straight off the same camera, same time of day, no editing. The owner booked us back for the rear patio the same week.
